The following incident occurred during the Euro 2012 final group match between Portugal and Netherlands on Sunday 17 June 2012. The match finished 2—1. There were 3 YCs.

At a Portugal (red) DFK, AR2 (Andrea Stefani) misses the first offside and is given a second opportunity. Here are the freeze frames:

Portugal attacker Helder Postiga (red 23) was penalised for being offside. His team-mate escaped.

AR2 was fortunate to be given a second chance to call offside. Fortunately, it was not a match-critical error. Still, the error is noted.
